Culmination of Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 Marked by Visit of MSME Joint Secretary and NITI Aayog Officials

The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Hall in Kiphire today hosted the Culmination Programme of Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0, held in the presence of distinguished visiting officials from the Government of India.

The event was graced by Ms. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME & Central Prabhari Officer (CPO) for the Aspirational District & Block Programme (ADP/ABP), alongside Ms. Prarthana Pawale, Young Professional from NITI Aayog.

Empowering Local Livelihoods: Pisciculture Inauguration

A significant highlight of the day was the Inauguration of the Pisciculture Fish Farming project at the District Fishery Office, Kiphire. During the ceremony, Ms. Mercy Epao officially handed over the Fish Pond to a local Self-Help Group (SHG) from Kiphire.

The inauguration took place in the presence of Shri Nzan Lotha, District Fishery Officer (DFO), and other department officials. This initiative aims to boost local entrepreneurship and strengthen food security through sustainable fish farming practices within the district.

Review and Consultative Meeting

Following the inauguration, the officials led a comprehensive Review & Consultative Meeting with various Line Departments. The discussions focused on:

Innovation Projects: Evaluating progress and identifying “Window II” opportunities under NITI Aayog.
Aspirational Block Progress: Assessing the impact of the Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 in improving key performance indicators.
Infrastructure: Reviewing the newly constructed Ornamental Fish Culture Tank and Breeding Unit.
